What to Expect In the Spa

    1. What do I need to know about visiting a Spa?
    1.  Plan to arrive at the spa a few minutes early, as when you arrive late it cuts down your treatment time; you want to start your experience feeling great, not upset that your treatment is shortened. Some spas will have areas that only spa guests can take advantage of so they may also encourage you to come early to enjoy those extras. Not all spas offer this extra though, so check with your spa if you’re not sure.  Being too early with nothing to do but wait will also put you into the wrong frame of mind.

    Q.  What do I we wear to the spa?

    1. Consider what treatments you’re having and then dress accordingly.  If you’re having a pedicure, try wearing yoga sandals, spa sandals, thongs or open toed sandals...In other words, protect your pretty Pedi! Are you having a body wrap? If so, will you be comfortable being wrapped naked or would you prefer a bathing suit or bra and panties? If so, bring an extra pair, the ones you will be wrapped in will be very wet. Do wear something you can slip in and out of easy. And try to leave your jewelry at home.

    1. Will they feed me?
    1. Depending on the spa, and the treatment you are receiving, you may or may not get light snacks. My advice is to eat before your spa time. You don’t want to not enjoy your spa time because you can only think about how hungry you are. Some larger spa packages may include a lunch and typically that will be served half way through your package or late in the package, so don’t starve yourself. The goal is for comfort and relaxation. So don’t overeat, but do have something before your visit.

    1. Is everything included in my service?
    1. No, some things will be offered to you at an additional price. The reason for this is because not everyone wants or needs them.  We want everyone's spa time to be extraordinary for them, so please choose any services that you might need to make your visit extra special. Those extras may include during a facial: A brow wax or any facial waxing, hand treatment, foot treatment, eye treatment, face peel, lip treatment, etc. Nail treatments: Extra massage or reflexology, French polishing, nail art, paraffin treatment, callous treatment, etc.

    1. Will I be expected to purchase these extras?
    1. No, the offer is made to make your spa experience better and to help you take home your spa experience. All good spas will offer you skin care products to help you achieve the same great results you received at the spa, in the comfort of your home. We are here to help partner with you in both your health and beauty. Utilizing professional products (products which can only be sold by licensed skin professionals) will give you the active ingredients to see the changes in the skin we want. Professional products are results driven and not dependent on advertising dollars to make the sale to the end user which brings about those changes we expect. Over the counter or direct sales products cannot deliver the strength of active ingredients as those that require a license to dispense, so you might be amazed at the difference between professional strength and all others.

    1. Do you tip in a spa?
    1. In most spas tipping is much appreciated. The typical guideline for tipping is like in a restaurant or any other service industry except one notable difference is that in a Spa we only have one guest, you.  We are very tuned in to our guests and love it when we have made your visit exceptional. But like a restaurant, if you did not receive good service you should tip accordingly. And on the rare occurrence that you receive bad service, instead of just not tipping, please make your feelings known so the Spa can make whatever corrections in Spa procedures or staff changes that might be needed. We appreciate that you care enough about us to tell us when we are doing things you love as well as when we miss the mark. Your input is vital!

    1. How often do I need to visit a spa?
    1. That depends on what your personal goals are. If you make your living before a camera, you probably will spend more time and money on looking fabulous and bi-weekly facials may be what you need. Madonna might do them weekly or even daily. But the average person can benefit tremendously from just having one facial a month; the same goes for a body treatment or pedicure. This monthly maintenance will be a great difference in not only how young you look, but also how young you feel. You need to move those fluids and remove the toxins to keep your body running naturally and more easily. Even if monthly is more than you can do now, at least a quarterly visit will still make a world of difference.

Here are some tips for making time for your Spa visits:

    1.                Keep yourself on the books by making your next appointment before you leave. Next week, next month, three months from now, it doesn’t matter when, but it does matter that you are there somewhere. If you are not on the books, time gets away from us and the next thing we know years have passed and so has our opportunity to stay on top of our own health and beauty.

     2.          Utilize your special occasions to ask for Spa Time instead of other types of gifts. Birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Anniversaries, Holiday Gifts, etc. We offer a service called EHints that give you the opportunity to register yourself for your special dates and have little email suggestions sent to those who might be wondering what to get for you. We make it easy from inexpensive to total indulgence. Sign up today. Remember, those are the people who most want you to stay healthier and happier longer.

    1. What’s the most important thing I need to know to make my Spa time a big success?
    1. Before you open that spa door, take a deep breath, exhale and as you exhale leave all of your personal problems on the other side of the spa door. Let go of all your pre-conceived notions of your spa visit and just expect a great experience. You’d be surprised how many people will come in to the Spa angry, upset, and overworked by outside influences and then say to themselves “Fix this”! You can imagine they aren’t really expecting that we can, so we already lost. Just expect some wonderful “me time” and try to enjoy every minute.

Relax and be prepared to enjoy your spa time. We thank you for choosing us to be a part of the special time for you.
